Bad news, oh my brothers and sisters! After over one year of common travel, my camera has decided to part with me and sought another owner. This is a rather heavy setback. I hope I can find a reasonably priced (read "dirt cheap") replacement while I am still in Delhi.

Other news:
I've had my first hot shower since November. Bliss!
I have unlimited wireless access! I promptly spent two whole days in front of the computer and left the room only long enough to have my camera stolen.
It's amazing how little food you actually need.
All Delhi public transport (including taxis and rickshaws) run on compressed natural gas (CNG).

Well, I replaced my good old Canon with some cheap Chinese crap. Of course this means no more high quality pictures (max 1280x960), but I didn't take many of those anyway. I have the distinct feeling that I just threw 30 Euro out the window, but a new Canon was more than double the price. In Switzerland I wouldn't have hesitated, but when you live on 3-4 Euro a day, those are significant expenses. Well, let's see how long it'll take for it to fall apart...

I'm leaving for Shimla tomorrow morning. Didn't see much of Delhi, but what the hell. I'll probably come back here on my way back from Himachal Pradesh.

More other news:
I just found out TC (the guy who generously hosted me during all my stay in Delhi) is a lama. I knew he was a buddhist monk, but I didn't know he was a lama. I also don't really know what a lama is...
I have become completely and utterly addicted to Indian chai. How could I ever live without it before, and more importantly what will i do upon leaving India???
850 billion beedis are smoked every year in India.

Don't worry about chai bro. Since I'm in Canada I'm addicted to it too! It's probably not exactly the same (well, it's certainly not the same) but I still love it!!! :D You'll love it too once you're here!
