I've been quiet for some time now, I know. Sorry about that. The problem is that my camera's SD card is broken and I can't take any pictures anymore. Since I know that you guys care more about the pictures than about my inane ramblings I thought I'd stay silent for a while. But hey, sice you insist I'll share my view about the nihilistic approach of the feministic aspects in Kant's philosophy... No, not really :-) But here are the two last pictures I managed to take. The first is the entry leading to the diving center, about 30 km north of Marsa Alam on the road to Al Quseir, Safaga and Hurgada:

The second shows our little diving center:

On the right there's a big hotel (SolYMar) currently occupied by (too) many italians...

I've been working for more than a month now as a divemaster. Teaching people to dive is the instructor's prerogative, the divemaster only assists with the courses if there are too many students at once. This is very seldom the case, which means I mostly guide people around in the different diving spots around our base. I usually dive two times per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon or night, 7 days a week, with sporadic days off.
Presenting the diving team (I might add pictures later):

Barbara: Base leader, italian, Hazem's wife, genius mechanic, spent all her life working in diving related jobs, sometimes looses her calm when cornered by stupid questions from obnoxious diving-tourists

Hazem: Instructor, egyptian, Barbara's husband, knows many of the tips and tricks you don't find in the theory books

Momen: Instructor, egyptian, speaks german, weird sense of humor, but cool guy, we always fight for internet access :-) has his own diving center in Safaga

Michael: Instructor, egyptian, my roommate, studied diving in college, worked as an underwater construction worker, has over 4000 dives, my unquestioned reference in diving-related questions.

Hassani: Assistant-intructor, egyptian, Suzy's husband, never backs down from a confrontation with other drivers when driving, looks very intimidating when he scowls at other drivers, despite his 50 kg weight. Few people appreciate the entertainment factor of his driving skills to their just value.

Suzy: Secretary, dutch, Hassani's wife, master of massage, which comes in handy since most people here have some kind of back problem

Ibrahim: Divemaster, egyptian, speaks italian, the only person from the diving team that occasionally comes jogging with me (one of the barmen comes regularly)

Mustafa: Assistant-instructor, egyptian, has not yet really found out how to best use his cortex, which results in considerable losses between his ears and his cognitive center. A very kind person, however. Got fired because of one of his thoughtless actions, but I thought I'd mention him anyway, since he was part of the team until last week.

others: Hamada (the manager), the back staff: Ashraf, Iahia, Mohammed, and Khaled, and our speedboat captain Mahmoud.

And me.

OK, gotta go lead a night dive (for which I get 10 euro commission, yes! Finally some cash).

Nice pictures bro! And the team seems to be quite entertaining! ;-) I like those small weather icons on top of your entries with the temperature written next to them. Here in Canada, we can be happy if we reach 20 degrees C and its usual to have snow in July!! :-D Take care!
